On 26 August 2026, the trade publication Trenchless Works published [an article on Renset® and the utility sector's net zero transition](https://www.trenchless-works.com/powering-the-utility-sectors-net-zero-transition-with-renset/?ref=news.renset.nl). This archive item summarises what the piece reported at the time.

## What Trenchless Works reported

The article was a preview for No-Dig Live 2026, the UK trenchless and no-dig exhibition. It said Steve Vick International would show the Renset® portable power station on Stand G20\. It described the unit as a way to supply site power without petrol or diesel generators, for example in urban areas, remote locations and environmentally sensitive sites.

According to the article, the system has a rated output of up to 5 kW and a peak of up to 10 kW. It said the unit is available in 110 V and 240 V configurations and can run equipment from handheld tools to heavier site applications. The article also reported zero on-site emissions of carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides during operation.

Trenchless Works highlighted the swappable LiFePO4 battery modules. It said a depleted module can be exchanged in seconds, so crews can keep working without waiting for a recharge. It also pointed to IP54 protection for rain, mud and rough handling, and to operating noise of under 30 dB. In its words, this could reduce disturbance in residential and noise-sensitive locations.

On the commercial side, the article said Steve Vick International is the sole UK distributor for Renset® and works with the manufacturer. It also suggested the unit could cut fuel use and maintenance needs for contractors. These are the publication's statements, not Renset's own published figures.

## Why it mattered

Trenchless and utility crews often work in streets, gardens and other places where generator noise and exhaust are a problem. A preview at a UK trade event, aimed at contractors and utility clients, put battery-based site power in front of exactly that audience.
